Candles and letters to our congresspeople aren't enough. We should look to Minneapolis as an example of collective action. We need to support immigrants and oppose ICE actions within our communities. Candles in the windows will not stop the Gestapo
Being a federal retiree I know one thing for sure--those federal officers should have been there to protect Petri and Good. That "things" ended so disastrously and tragically by federal law enforcement agents is a direct result of a government policy to deploy said agents in an aggressive stance that sees American citizens as the enemy. Like Rodney King's video that directly brought on the LA riots of the early nineties, there's too many "receipts" out there to escape what is happening as Danielle aptly describes it, at least to my own understanding. A sad state of affairs.
