Dear Renovator Community,
Thank you so much for joining me in the effort to shine a light on good work underway around the country to renovate our democracy—efforts to heal our civic culture and redesign our institutions so that they can meet the moment. We have completed our first month at The Renovator! We’re proud of what we’ve sent you so far, but we are also ready to scale new heights, and we would be grateful for your feedback.

Also, with this email, we are sending you the complete set of my first seven columns: The Bear series. I hope that with the metaphor of America as a bear in the woods with its foot in a trap, beset by wolves, with a wildfire raging, I’ve managed to capture our current predicament AND point to a way out. With these columns on responsive governance, a rebalanced economy, and safety without a police state, I hope I’ve introduced a fresh and compelling policy agenda.
